5 Easy Ways To Raise Your Vibration




What is a vibration and why do you need to raise it? Well, a vibration is basically an overall state of being. It can be negative or positive. Let's face it, wherever you turn, there's something that can affect your state of being for the negative. From social media to the news to the weather! Some of these negative influences we can control and others we can't. Now, there are those who don't mind living in a negative world. But for those reading this, you obviously are someone who wants to be happy and live a more joyful life! With that in mind,  we can do daily practices to negate the negative avoiding the abyss of the dark and gloomy!  Like most, I've been there; feeling down and out as my bright light slowly diminished from self-talk. And that's when I searched for 'pick me up' antidotes. And WHY did I want to do that...Why did I want to raise my vibration and why should you want to raise yours? Because you weren't created to feel bad about yourself or your life. You were created for a purpose! Each day is an opportunity to rise and push yourself forward towards that purpose! And you can only do that with a higher vibration!

1. Practice Gratitude
You've heard it a gazillion times: BE GRATEFUL. Let me put it another way: Shut up & Be Grateful!  I am so sick of the whiners!! Do you realize how blessed you are? You are reading this blog. That means you have sight, eyes and a computer for Gods sake! Here's the deal with being grateful and actually writing down what you're thankful for; you begin to raise your happiness level and your discontentment begins to fade. Once you start opening your eyes to all the goodness in your life, the universe has a way of giving you more good stuff. Who knows, maybe it's perception because you are now focusing on the good in your life, rather than the bad. Whatever it is, START NOW!

2. Breathe
You're breathing right now. Feel it. Inhale deeply, hold it and exhale slowly. Concentrate on your breathing. Sit there and do only that for 2 minutes. Marinate in it, focusing ONLY on your breath. As noises and thoughts come in, shift your thoughts and ears back to the slow inhalation and exhalation. How do you feel? Calmer? Less stressed? Hmmm, interesting concept, huh? Another FREE thing you can do in a short amount of time to totally alter your mood. By the way, did you know breathing techniques, done on a daily and regular basis will help heal your body? Breathing helps brain function, digestion, decreases cortisol levels (aka, why you gain weight around your middle) and a plethora of positive things! Make this a daily practice & blend this 'marinating technique' into your hectic life!

3. Turn Off The TV
Let me ask you...when you look back at your life, will you wish you'd watched more TV? I understand your need to be informed therefore you watch the news. Is it just me, or do you begin to feel a bit uncomfortable, maybe angry or fearful as you watch the News? Think about it for a minute. Do you like feeling that way? If you do, awesome! If you don't TURN IT OFF! Or walk out of the room and go to your happy place. The same goes for reality shows, which are far from reality! Here's a better idea: do something productive during the typical television time. How about exercising? Perhaps finish a project you've been complaining about? Maybe push yourself to grow in some area of your life.  How about this: Sit down and write the time you spend watching TV. Now, make a list of all the things you COULD BE DOING during that time. How do you feel? Like you've wasted a large chunk of your life?  It's funny what we will do, like watch TV and allow it to alter our lives in a negative way and what we won't do, like avoiding TV, allowing ourselves to actually BE & feel fabulous. WHY ARE YOU HOLDING BACK YOUR GREATNESS?

4. Hang Out With Your Fans
Do you have family, friends, work associates, etc. you really enjoy? Like you can actually feel yourself vibrate differently in their company? You can say what you want, dress the way like, you can be real, authentic, vulnerable...maybe even have broccoli in your teeth with these people and there's no judgment, negative comments or Spanish Inquisitions? If you have these people in your life SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE WITH THEM. Period. Avoid everyone who you've allowed to make you doubt yourself. In life, you will have the opportunity to be with those who inspire you or those who will drain you. You must be your own barometer and be cognitive of the difference. Life is too short to be with people who trigger your wounds in an attempt to make you feel bad about yourself due to their own personal unaddressed gook. Find your Tribe and be with those who lift you up so you grow stronger and feel good about yourself. Remember, self-protection is self LOVE!

5. BE The Light!
If you've bought into the last four items, you will begin to vibrate differently very soon! Every morning you wake from slumber and have choices before you: Will I experience joy today? Will I allow life struggles and past crap dictate my day? Will I attempt to control tomorrow increasing stress and anxiety? Or can I decide to walk out that door, with a positive attitude changing the way I feel about myself and this PRESENT day? And in turn, change the lives of others in my path? The answer is YES! Make the decision to be the light! In all the darkness of our times, you can make a difference! Put your egos, your opinions and your anger to the side. Get out of the driveway and be kind to everyone and SMILE! You can't imagine how good you will begin to feel! And a smile can brighten your day; given or received. That's all I'm saying....
